Car Trip Crafts

So, we're getting ready for our trip and I wanted to have a few things to make the trip more enjoyable. It's quite a long trip from CO to CA so I made these, if I do say so myself, cute neck pillows and tie quilts. The neck pillows were made with leftover material from pillowcases I made for our cousins for Christmas and the quilts were made from fleece purchased at the day after Thanksgiving sale for way cheap.



So I put together an activity box for each child and filled it with drawing paper, markers, books and still have room to put in their gameboys and the mp3 players that my uncle gave them for Christmas. Shhhh! I decoarated the outside of the boxes (that I purchased at Walmart for about $3) with vinyl lettering and designs I cut out with my Cricut machine. They turned out cute, I think.



I've been collecting items, such as books from the Scholastic book sales at our school, markers and colored pencils during back to school sales, so I maybe spent $5-6 on each box including items and the fleece was $1 per yard. A great deal for something I hope will make our trip more comfortable and enjoyable.
