sometimes it seems if it weren't for bad luck....

Sister Beck, the RS General President, was coming to CO this past weekend. Of course, at the same time we were experiencing severe weather with snow, ice and wind. Well, a few of my friends and I decided we were going to go to the Friday night fireside. We'd go out to dinner first then carpool to see Sis. Beck. We had the dinner~it was great. Then we all piled into my car to head over to the building where the fireside was. Not 5 minutes later my engine light came on and the engine died. We coasted off the main road onto another then onto another. It's snowy and wet outside but my 4 terrific friends (dressed in church clothes) try to push my big ol' Suburban off the road. Two men took pity on them and pushed for us. One of the friends ran (literally) home to get her car. We waited for my husband and off they went to see Sis. Beck. My husband and I (with my cute little Sher) waited for the wrecker. Turns out the fuel pump is a very important part of the car and if it doesn't work, neither does the car. Anyhoo~I have great friends who not only tried to push my car off the road but took great notes of the talk since I couldn't be there. Oh, and dinner was fun, too.
