Why do they have to grow up so quickly???

I just celebrated my son's 10th birthday. This really hit me more that other birthdays. 10. Wow. He's already spent over half his life with me. It all went so quickly. My daughter still has her little girl ways. I think being the "baby" of the family helps with that. But my son....he's a kid! No more little boy. And as adorable as he is (sounds of agreement go here), he was so stinkin' cute as a little guy I just couldn't stand it. In case you think I am biased (so not) I have some pictures to prove it:

Now some of those pictures are the way I remember him! Not this large 10-year-old! Brought back good memories!

He was such a cute little baby/boy! Now he's a handsome young man. Believe it or not, Derek and I both enjoyed getting to know Bryan and are glad we had the chance to teach that class in Sunday School (even though some days were harder than others with 6 boys). He's such a sweetie!

What a cute little baby he was/is! (They're always babies to some extent, right?). I'll drop off that cookbook either today or tomorrow -- I'll just leave it on your porch in a bag if you're not home. That's so cute that Sheridan was bald until 3, love it!

ugh, it goes by too fast doesn't it? but it's fun to get to know your child at different ages, isn't it?
